Spring Group Mushroom Hunts!
Find delicious edible mushrooms in the local area. On this hike we expect to find the Morel followed by Bolete in a couple weeks. We may happen across a variety of other mushrooms.

About the event
Join Temple Mushrooms on a group mushroom hunt. This three hour event will focus on stratagies to find and identify edible mushrooms while safely enjoying the woods. There may be easy (open path) to difficult (cross country) hiking and we will cater to the group dynamic. The seasonal mushroom we will be seeking to find and identify on this hike will be the Morel for the first three to transistioning into Boletes. We may happen upon many other mushroom varieties...
We will meet at 9 am at The Great Meadow Sno-park, about 45 minutes from Klamath Falls. Travel on Hwy 140 west, the Great Meadow is just past Indian Memorial Rd on your left. Huge parking lot. Use google map included on this page. Look for a group of mushroom minded people. We will leave to go forage at 9:15am. Try to be timely.
"There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing". Rain or shine, so be prepared. Wear comfortable shoes, (preferably water resistant) Some items to bring include jacket, umbrella, knife, paint brush (to clean the mushrooms), basket or mesh bag (for collecting), mushroom identification book (if you have one), water, snacks and or a lunch. There is a ten ticket Limit to these mushroom hunts, but you may bring your child 6 or under for free. May the mushrooms be with you.
Group Mushroom Hunt
Meet at the Great Meadow Sno-park on Hwy 140 just past Indian Memorial road at 9am. Day Hike through beautiful forests and learn about mushrooms. Good clean fun!
